Organics Studio Ralph Waldo Emerson - My Many Muses
Ink

Organics Studio Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • Colour: A true blue with some crazy purple shimmer (which shows kind of green in the deep puddles)
  • Special Attributes:
    • Shade: Yes, plenty of it.
    • Sheen: Loads of purple sheen.
    • Shimmer: No.
  • Watercolour Usage: It’s definitely water sensitive for a long while. This is something to keep in mind when using it to write. It takes a while to dry and it will be reactivated with water.
  • Harkens to Mind: Icicles at sunset, and very cold water.
  • Similar to: Similar to other Organics Studio sheening inks like Nitrogen and also Vinta Kosmos (sans shimmer), and KWZ blues. This one is a prettier blue underneath, but let’s be honest, the sheen takes over in writing. For art, though, it a favourable blue.
  • Expense: $13/55ml as of 2022.
  • Example: Jimmy Stewart. I know, I should have done an Emerson quote with the writing, but it’s so much easier to pick random pages from random books.

Look at that sheen shine!

Verdict

For art, I love it. It is a beautiful blue and the shimmer is incredible. It also reacts really well to water. But, for writing, it’s just shiny purple. That doesn’t do much for me but I know a lot of people love sheen. This will thrill them.
