• Colour: Rose red, as it says, is pretty accurate. A bit too cool for blood though.
• Special Attributes:
  • Shade: Light to medium shading
  • Sheen: None.
  • Shimmer: There is shimmer but I can’t tell if it’s gold or red. Ah, it’s rose gold. That explains it.
• Watercolour Usage: It reacts to water a bit lighter than other reds, but it definitely isn’t suitable for light shading. Good for washes, and guard your writing.
• Harkens to Mind: Fresh red roses, garnets, ripe strawberries.
• Similar to: A lot like Herbin Rose but more watery and shimmery.
• Expense: $26/50ml as of 2022.
• Example: Hedy Lamarr, potentially the most beautiful woman ever to live.

Verdict

This one is just too watered down to excite me. The colour isn’t quite pink and it isn’t quite red and the shimmer I think must also be red so it isn’t as bold as I would like from a shimmer. Not one I’ll buy in a large size.
