Vinta Isabela
- Colour: Brown pink (they call it Sepia on the website) with blue and green undertones and gold shimmer.
- Special Attributes:
- Shade: Yes but not as much as I expected.
- Sheen: None.
- Shimmer: Gold.
- Watercolour Usage: This ink didn’t really want to turn to a wash. It worked, but while I was working with it, it seemed so light that I didn’t think anything would be visible.
- Harkens to Mind: Dusty rose, pink sand beaches, stones.
- Similar to: Lady Rose by Ferris Wheel Press has a similar brown-pink, but this one is more vibrant it seems.
- Expense: $17/30ml as of 2022.
- Example: From a book of photos labelled “Japan 1890.”

Verdict
When I saw Vinta releasing new inks, of course I wanted to try them. I got samples of the rest, but this one I had a feeling I would fall in love with so I got the whole bottle. I was not wrong. It’s a very unique ink. It is brown and pink simultaneously and gold shimmer is never unwelcome.
Vinta can go ahead and try to make an ink I don’t like, but I don’t think they’ll succeed.
