Faber Castell Moss Green

  • Colour: Warm green, dark and mysterious.
  • Special Attributes:
    • Shade: A lot of great shading.
    • Sheen: Red sheen in painting, but it doesn’t show up in writing with any sort of overwhelm.
    • Shimmer: No.
  • Watercolour Usage: Perhaps not the best for fading to white, but I had fun pulling the edges and getting blue to come out.
  • Harkens to Mind: Autumn green, moss (good job), emerald.
  • Similar to: Lighter than Diamine Evergreen, and less yellow than Vinta Leyte.
  • Expense: $32/75ml as of 2022.
  • Example: A lady with a mask.

The sheen is not eye-assaultingly reflective, I like that.

Writing Sample

Verdict

I got this as an added sample bonus with a used pen I bought. I didn’t think much of it, but I really do love it as time goes on. The red sheen is so interesting because it isn’t really a sheen at all, it’s more of a shading. So I have thought of buying this in a larger size once I use up the sample.
