Spicy Glass Noodle Bowl

Ingredients for 1 serving

  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon gochugaru (or cayenne or bird pepper or whatever you like for spiciness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon carraway
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 tablespoon tamari
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoon safflower oil
  • 1 serving of rice noodles (or any sort of pasta will do)

Process

  1. Add all the dry spices (chili powder, gochugaru, carraway, parsley) to a heat-friendly serving bowl (you will be pouring hot oil directly in to it, keep in mind)
  2. Add tamari, rice vinegar, garlic, and onion to the bowl.
  3. Boil water for noodles and put safflower oil in to a small pan and heat on the stove (I use those little Anatolian coffee roaster pots).
  4. Heat safflower oil on a medium heat for about 4 minutes.
  5. Pour hot oil in to the ingredients in the bowl. You should get a nice sizzle.
  6. Add noodles.
  7. Mix
  8. Enjoy.
