Mort and Mysterio Napping in Beddgelert

I used the autumn palette, but also white, on 100% cotton hotpress paper (Etchr sketchbook). I found it difficult to use all four shades of green (Cork Yellow feels green sometimes due to that Phthalo Green insert).

The greens were used unmixed throughout anywhere you see green. Orange was unmixed for the midtone of the jumper. The brown of the wood is unmixed Bark Brown. Smoked Bamboo I mixed with Indigo to get my black. Gold was used as a highlight which was my favourite part.

Jon Wrapped in a Quilt

For this one, I used cold press paper (Fabriano Artistico), and found a way to use every colour by making a patterned quilt. Cork Yellow and Gardenia Yellow gave me trouble in that I couldn’t remember which was which and they looked awfully similar on the paper.

Both Pine Tree Green and Elm Green were used on the background. The green squares on the quilt are Leek Green and the yellowy ones sometimes Cork Yellow and sometimes Gardenia Yellow. I only mixed colours for the skin/hair/jumper, the quilt and background use them unmixed.
